My memories of Sun...

I was with the Sunrisers from '58 - '67. I'm sure that my contemporaries and I have many stories to share. But I thought you might be interested in this one/

My wife and I are full time RVers. Currently, we are in a campground near Orlando, Fl. Well, the other day I'm outside washing my rig when a fellow passes by and makes a comment about the rig. We start to shoot the shit about RVing. The discussion graduates to personal stories. It turns out that he is retired from the old ATT as am I. Further down the verbal path he tells me that he used to be involved with drum and bugle corps. So I say, "Which one?" When he replied, "The Long Island Sunrisers", My mouth fell open. Well, to make a long story wide, It turns out that he played the cymbals with Billy Jenkins during the time that Paul Miller and I were playing rudimental base drum. When we got around to exchanging full names, then we remembered.........You can guess where the conversation went from there. Oh yeah, his name is Bob Wentzell The date of this encounter was the evening of October 31, 2006.
