My memories of Sun...

LAS VEGAS WITH STAN, PATTY & GLENN
Stan & I went to visit Glenn Beltz (1986-1991) on our vacation in March, 1996.  The first couple of days, Glenn had business so we did our own thing.  But on Monday, after Glenn finished class we decided to go on a road trip to Vegas.

“It will be fun,” Glenn said, “The desert is warm and Las Vegas always has warm sunny weather,” he said.  So, we packed up our overnight bag and off we went, especially since it was mid-60’s and rainy in Santa Barbara, CA.

1.It rained the ENTIRE way from Santa Barbara to Las Vegas, not to mention the 30-40 mph winds blowing thru the Mojave Bob Desert.
2.When we got into Las Vegas, it began to downpour so hard that I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face to drive, can you say “Auntie Em?”

We finally go to the Riviera and our room.  By the end of Monday night, I won $90 on Roulette, Stan won $11.50 playing blackjack, and Glenn was changing dimes and pennies for nickels so he could go to “Nickel Heaven” to try to win anything.

Then Glenn got a phone call, a family emergency, and had to fly back to Santa Barbara and then fly to Pittsburgh!  I ended up winning about $90 total, Stan broke even.

Oh Glenn, yes we had a great time!
